|  This is your last opportunity to join the Old Girls' Association at its Christmas Cocktails evening on 19 December 2008 and tickets are selling fast for this wonderful seasonal event. Friends, family, current and former members of staff will gather from 7.00 to 9.00pm to start the Christmas festivities in style.
The Association will host the reception in the Octagon; if you have still not seen this wonderful addition to the School, opened in 2005, now is the time to come back to School and spend the evening there with old friends. Current and former senior staff will be present, including Dr Weeks, Mrs Bartlett, Miss Mullenger, Mrs Horsman and Mrs Howarth.

 The Old Girls' Association was treated to a wonderful evening at the House of Lords on 8 May 2008 as the guest of Lord Shutt of Greetland. Lord Shutt has been a life peer for 8 years and is the Liberal Democrat Chief Whip in the Lords - and the father-in-law of Mrs Shutt who teaches ICT in Senior School!
Over 70 Old Girls, former and current staff, governors and the Head Girl and Deputy gathered in the Peers' Dining Room for an evening of joyful reunions - some after as long as 20 years - and comparing of notes on school traditions, teachers, uniform and food!

 The OGA will be hosting a London Lunch on Saturday 28 February 2009 at The University Women's Club in Mayfair. Old Girls will be entertained in the Library at the Club from 12.30 - 2.30pm and for a cost of £28.00 per person will receive a two course lunch, wine and coffee. Places at the lunch will be allocated on a first come, first served basis as the venue has been chosen for its intimacy and quiet in the heart of London.

 The Association is delighted to welcome the following new members to the OGA following their departure from School in July 2008. Most are now settled at university or on a gap year and we look forward to seeing them at Old Girls events scheduled to take place in Birmingham, London and elsewhere in future months.
