Senior School girls aged 14-17 (Year 10 upwards) can enrol to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which is run by staff in School. Girls begin with the Bronze Award and are introduced to the Award’s key areas (Service, Skills, Physical recreation, Expedition and Residential project) and how undertaking activity in each contributes not just to society but to their own personal development.

Weekends in the School’s calendar are dedicated to DofE expeditions and initially take place in the Midlands before moving further afield. As girls move on to pursue the Gold Award more challenging expeditions are on offer such as the Summer 2008 trip to Morocco to climb the highest of the Atlas Mountains – Toukbal.
