The Music Department is the only department at EHS which teaches girls throughout their academic careers, serving the needs of girls in both Prep and Senior School. It is housed in its own building at the heart of the School which boasts two large scale rehearsal rooms, a hi-tech composition suite and six tuition rooms each with a piano for accompaniment.

The Music Department also makes regular use of the Octagon, the multi-purpose space at the centre of School life, for concerts and productions and benefits from a Steinway Grand there, donated by former members of Staff.

Peripatetic visiting staff give tuition on the following instruments all of which can be borrowed for use in School:
