All candidates for the Sixth Form, internal and external, are required to obtain the following qualifications for entry:

·  a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (including English and Mathematics) and
·  the GCSE grade requirement for each AS Level subject of their choice as described in the Sixth Form Prospectus.

Places are offered conditional upon these requirements.
External candidates are always interviewed by the Headmistress and Head of Sixth Form and a confidential report requested from their present school. External applications can be considered at anytime during the academic year prior to entry to the Sixth Form.

Progression from Year 11 at EHS into the Sixth Form and from the Lower Sixth (AS) to Upper Sixth (A2) courses is dependent in all cases upon sustained good progress and attitude. The Headmistress and Head of Sixth Form will advise when progress is giving cause for concern.
